Do what you can to keep yourself warm, record cold temperatures are expected across eastern KELOLAND Tuesday night and Wednesday.
People did the right thing Tuesday and tried to stay out of the cold as much as they could. For those that did brave it, limiting the exposure of their skin was the best thing to do. This is something that will continue for Wednesday as record low temperatures invade for the morning.
Here are the existing record lows for Wednesday morning. Many locations need to fall to the 20s and even 30s below zero. Aberdeen needs to fall to 32 below while Sioux Falls needs to fall to 27 below.
And just because the sun will be out during the day Wednesday doesn’t mean it’s going to warm up. This graphic shows the coldest high temperatures. Many are stuck in the single digits and teens below zero. So we’ll have our eyes on these records as well.
There is warmth at the end of the week with temperatures returning above average by Friday.
