Enjoy the 70s while they are here Saturday. Because it will be quite some time before we have warmth like that again.
The mostly cloudy skies and periods of rain Friday in eastern KELOLAND was exactly what we didn’t need. Some rain amounts approached a half inch or more underneath the heavier downpours.
Fear not, Saturday is looking like a warm and dry day as temperatures will be in the 70s for many locations with sunny skies.
But after that, temperatures will cool and the rain will come back.
In fact, over the next ten days our highs will average between 5 and 10 degrees below average. The cool air is expected all the way to northern Texas.
But, by the end of the outlook, that’s when we have a better chance to see more 70 degree weather.
After all, the average high in Sioux Falls is 70 on May 15.
Unfortunately, along with the cooler air we’ll have rain. But the cool air will keep the heaviest of the rain south of us.
