Storm Center Update- Tuesday AM, February 19th

Good Morning!

Take a look at this shot from our Downtown Sioux Falls skycam this morning.  Just wonderful!

The clear skies this morning will be replaced by clouds and snow tonight and tomorrow.  Winter storm warning headlines are in effect east of Sioux Falls.  The Sioux Falls area is under a winter weather advisory starting at 6pm.

Here’s the latest on Futurescan.  You can see most of the snow tracks through KELOLAND overnight tonight.

Our snowforecast includes 2-5″ in Sioux Falls.  The heaviest numbers will be found in the winter storm warning areas east of Sioux Falls.

The forecast stays cold today.  Notice we are NOT forecasting strong winds with the forecast the next 36 hours.

Get ready for more snow by Friday.  Highs will be a little warmer ahead of this system.

Another piece of energy moves our way this weekend.  This part of the storm could track to our south, but stronger winds will be a problem where it goes.
