Good Morning!

Scattered thunderstorms developed last night and some of the rain was heavy.  Winner picked up around 1″ of rain.

Some of the amounts in Charles Mix and Gregory Counties were over 2 inches in the yellow shaded areas.

The risk of severe weather is highest later today in far western SD.

Scattered t-storms may redevelop in the southeast late this afternoon.  Other storms are likely West River.  Those storms could drift southeast overnight.  More storms are expected tomorrow night, some over the same areas again.

Highs will stay in the upper 70s to mid 80s today in much of KELOLAND.

Areas of thunderstorms are likely tonight with lows in the lower 60s.

Temperatures will climb back into the 80s tomorrow.  Again, storms are expected again by tomorrow night.

The chance rain could still appear again for Sioux Falls Saturday night, but hotter weather will be the story by Sunday.  If you don’t like the heat, next week looks less humid and cooler after Monday.
