Another very warm day is ahead for much of KELOLAND. Look for 80s west of Sioux Falls. South winds will be stronger, setting the stage for scattered t-storms and showers by this evening.
Here’s a closer look at FutureScan. We think thunderstorms will develop in eastern Wyoming and cross the border into South Dakota by earth this evening. Another area of rain may form around Aberdeen this evening. Scattered rain could get to Sioux Falls by late tonight. More rain will redevelop at times tomorrow.
Temperatures will be mild overnight in the 50s. Look for stronger southeast winds as well gusting over 25 mph.
We expect scattered showers and t-storms tomorrow with highs mainly in the 70s.
Rainfall will be heaviest East River. We expect pockets of over .50″, enough to slow the farmers down. West River totals will be lower.
This system will move east on Wednesday with more 70s behind it.
However, a wind change on Thursday will mark the start of cooler weather later this week. We expect 60s in Sioux Falls with hits of rain possible by the evening. Aberdeen could stay in the 50s.
That 50 degree weather will slide south on Friday and Saturday along with chances of rain, mainly in the southern KELOLAND. Don’t worry, warmer weather will return next week.
