Storm Center Update- Monday AM, August 14th

Weather

Good Morning!

Areas of heavy rain fell yesterday across parts of KELOLAND.  Here are a few rainfall estimates on VIPIR from Sunday PM.

Now that the rain has left, dense fog is a big story in southeastern KELOLAND this morning.

Highs today will be in the 70s with mainly dry weather.  Warmer 80s are likely West River today and thunderstorms may develop in the far west by the afternoon.

Evening and overnight thunderstorms will spread eastward into both the Rapid City and Pierre areas.

Tomorrow will be a bit cooler, mainly due to clouds and chances of rainfall.

Rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected tomorrow through Wednesday. This is the European model.  Some spots will have a half inch or more.

Model #2 shows similar trends.  Heavy rain is likely with the biggest storms…perhaps locally over 2″.

Temps are little warmer by the end of the week, but nothing too hot in KELOLAND.
