We’ve already had snow in KELOLAND this month and more is on the way over the next week and a half.
We had a break from the snow Wednesday, but as skies thickened with cloud cover this afternoon it was a sign of more snow on the way. That snow will start Wednesday night in western South Dakota and move east overnight. After Wednesday’s and Thursday’s snow, there’s more in the works for this weekend and next week.
If you believe in the 90 days after fog folklore, than you knew this was coming.
Sioux Falls reported fog 16 days in December. Five of those days had thick fog with visibility of a quarter mile or less.
Fast forward 90 days into March and we’ll have to deal with a lot of moisture this month. In fact, models do indicate that and inch or two of liquid precip can be expected over the next week and a half.
This is not good news considering people are running out of places to put the new snow. And, it will just aggravate the flooding problems we have this spring.
