KELOLAND Live Doppler HD Winter Special Information

The signs of winter are becoming a norm in KELOLAND. We’ve already seen a few rounds of light snow pass through and the temperatures have been getting colder over the last few weeks.

Another sign of the winter season is KELOLAND Live Doppler HD Winter Special and we’ve been working hard putting the final touches on this year’s special.

Just a few highlights of the show include, of course, Scot Mundt’s winter season snowfall forecast which he will present during the Winter Special but Brian, Jay, and I have also put together some good info.

I looked closer at the different snowflake shapes and how that can affect a forecast. Brian Karstens looks at how winter affects plants in KELOLAND and Chief Meteorologist Jay Trobec reviews the brand new GOES-16 satellite and all that it can do in relation to severe weather forecasting.

So be sure to tune in Monday, November 20, at 6:30 PM, right after the KELOLAND News at 6.
