It could end up being a messy commute for parts of KELOLAND Wednesday morning as areas of freezing drizzle or freezing rain will be possible.
While it was another cold day in eastern KELOLAND with highs in the 20s, warmer weather will soon return with highs back in the 30s. But that warmer air will come with a price — freezing drizzle.
As warmer air overrides colder air at the surface, it condenses and drizzle or freezing rain can easily form. This will be possible in northern and eastern KELOLAND by the morning commute on Wednesday.
If you find your car slipping and sliding on ice; keep the steering wheel straight, do not brake, and do take your foot off the accelerator.
Keep this advice handy as we head through the winter months as I’m sure this won’t be the only bout of freezing rain we have to deal with.
