Flooding will continue to be the headline in weather this week.
Today will be a cooler day with highs in the 30s and 40s, so we’ll slow the melting for today. As temperatures warm tomorrow and Wednesday, melting will accelerate.
Flooding moved north along the Big Sioux this weekend. Here’s a look at the flood situation near Watertown.
It extends to the south. We’ll have to watch a storm system later in the week to bring in moisture which will have an impact on these levels.
In the meantime, 60s will be common by midweek. The last time we felt 60 degree weather in southeast KELOLAND was in November. It hasn’t been in the 60s in Aberdeen since October, but it will be a little tougher for Aberdeen to get that warm.
