Colder Air Sticking Around KELOLAND

Looking for any signs of a warm up?

It’s almost been three weeks since KELOLAND had temperatures above average.  And by the looks of the forecast, it could be another two weeks before we get back.

As the cold air stays, the chance for snow stays along with it.  With March a week away, many are starting to think about warmer weather.  But with our current weather pattern, it will take some time.

Our air continues to come in from the northwest.  So the current thinking is, we’ll have to wait to see when warmer air returns to our northwest.

Here’s a look at a model forecast for Great Falls Montana for the first week of March.  Nothing seems to change as highs remain in the teens and 20s.

A little farther northwest into Calgary Canada, the cold air also continues with highs in the teens and 20s.  But both cities are trending upward after next weekend.

We seem to be in this for the long haul.  So as Brian Karstens likes to say, “pack your patience.”
