Areas of eastern KELOLAND setting records for the wettest four months of the year

Weather

The added precipitation this weekend is what we don’t need, but for some of us it will go down in the history books.

While we started with sunshine, clouds quickly returned by the afternoon and temperatures were slightly cooler.  The cooling trend will continue this weekend as rain and snow will be likely.

The added moisture will bring some in eastern KELOLAND to the wettest start of the year through April.

This is a list of areas within an inch of breaking the record for wettest first four months of the year.
Marshall is about a third of an inch away, while Sioux Falls, Worthington, and Brookings are a half inch to two-thirds of an inch away.

The added moisture is not only falling this weekend as we still have a chance to add to April’s total on the last day of the month, which is Tuesday of next week.
