The forecast heading into the weekend continues our clear skies we had Friday but we’ll be much, much warmer.
An upper level ridge of high pressure will pass over the Midwest and that will bring clear skies and warmer than average weather to KELOLAND. Right now, average highs are within a few degrees of 60 but Saturday’s highs are forecasted to be in the 70s to 80s!
And, it’s been awhile since we talked highs in the 80s.
In fact, the last time the northern counties saw 80 degrees was back in September of 2018 and the southern counties saw 80 degrees in early October. So it’s been about a half year since we’ve see highs this warm!
And just think, this time last week we were doing post blizzard coverage and collecting snow reports!
So get out and enjoy the warm weather on Saturday and while we have rain in the forecast on Sunday, next week is looking dry with warmer weather moving back in.
