USF’s Trey Pipkins drafted by the Los Angeles Chargers

The University of Sioux Falls football program has its first NFL Draft pick since Brian Hansen in 1984, as offensive lineman Trey Pipkins was selected in the third round, 91st overall, by the Los Angeles Chargers.

A three-time All-NSIC selection, including first team as a senior, Pipkins is with his family in Portland, Oregon for the draft.

The 6’7″, 315-pound Pipkins was predicted to go between rounds four and six, but climbs to round three, and lands with the Bolts.
