Stampede and Chicago face off for Clark Cup

Sports

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – The Sioux Falls Stampede and Chicago Steele will square off for the Clark Cup Final. The Stampede enter the finals having won five in a row. Despite playing some of their best hockey, the Herd feel they can still pick it up a notch.

“We’re playing a really good team game. Good defensively for this time of the year. The way you play to win games, obviously our record indicates that. I don’t think we’re as dynamic offensively as we’ve been, but we’re pretty good defensively,” Owens said.

“We’ve been playing every game. Everybody’s been putting their effort forward. With all the injuries we’ve had, we’ve worked really hard at it. I feel once we have everybody back, we have a really good chance of winning this cup,” Swankler said.
