Spring Training Begins For Minnesota Twins

It’s a sign warmer weather isn’t too far away, Major League Baseball is gearing up for the upcoming season.

After finishing a distant second in the A.L. Central last season, the Twins have reported to Spring Training and held their first full-squad workout on Monday.  Miguel Sano didn’t participate after suffering a cut on his right heel while in the Dominican Republic, but has cut weight through yoga and diet.

“I’m encouraged with the work that he put in this offseason.  Beyond encouraged. I think we’re in a good spot as far as the way he’s moving around, to the eye, he’s moving around well,” Twins manager Rocco Baldelli said.

The Twins open exhibition play on Saturday.
