The Kansas City Chiefs are well-rested following their bye week, and they're back on the big stage to close out the NFL's Week 11 slate.

Andy Reid faces a familiar foe on Monday: the reigning NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles. Not only is this a rematch of Super Bowl LVII, but both participants remain firmly entrenched as two of the better clubs in the NFL so far this season. Many believe this contest could serve as an appetizer for a repeat game in February. There's quite a bit of time between now and then, however, with Kansas City and Philadelphia needing to take care of business in the interim.

The Eagles had their bye week at the same time as the Chiefs, leaving both squads in some of the best shape they'll be in for the rest of the year. With that said, injuries and absences will still play some sort of role in Week 11's game. The hosts had one player carry a questionable designation into Monday, whereas the visitors ruled a pair of players out in advance.

Ahead of their Monday Night Football matchup back at home, the Chiefs' list of inactive players has been released. Here's who won't suit up for Kansas City:

  • WR Richie James
  • DE BJ Thompson
  • OL Mike Caliendo
  • DT Neil Farrell
  • DE Malik Herring

It was a tremendous week of practice for the Chiefs, as all nine players who appeared on the injury report were full participants in practice throughout the week. That includes wide receiver Richie James, who was activated off the injured reserve list on Saturday despite Reid indicating that it was unlikely.

Many wondered whether the fifth-year man would play for the first time since Week 2, and Kansas City has made up its mind after designating him as questionable. James is still inactive on Monday night, which could be an indication of what's to come for him moving forward this season. The rest of the Chiefs' Week 11 inactives have been routine members of the list in recent weeks.

The Eagles' inactives have also been released:

  • TE Dallas Goedert
  • QB Tanner McKee
  • RB Rashaad Penny
  • DT Moro Ojomo
  • G Sua Opeta
  • DE Derek Barnett

For Philadelphia, two players were held back in practice during the week. Tight end Dallas Goedert, dealing with a forearm injury, didn't practice at all and was ruled out late in the week. Safety Justin Evans had a knee ailment limit him on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, leading to him also being inactive this week. Three players — tight end Grant Calcaterra, guard Cam Jurgens and cornerback Bradley Roby — were full participants in practice all week long. They're all active in Week 11.
