5:56 p.m. – SDSU 70, Drake 7 Final
5:32 p.m.- SDSU 70, Drake 7 4Q: Angel Johnson rushes for another TD 66 yards to the house from the SDSU 34 yard line.
5:17 p.m.- SDSU 63, Drake 7 4Q: SDSU dropped 9 TDs to Drake’s 1
The ninth tuddy was by back up QB Chase Mason, the sophomore kept the ball and ran for 69 yards from the SDSU 31 yard line, early in the fourth. The 63 points earned so far today makes history as the most points scored since SDSU scored a school record of 90 against Arkansas Pine Bluff in 2018
4:47 p.m.- SDSU 56, Drake 7 3Q: SDSU on fire in front of a crowd of 18,174 at Target Field.
SDSU scoring in another TD in five plays, it’ll be Angel Johnson rushing for 21 yards to the end zone, granting the 56-7 lead, the most since November 3, 2018 where SDSU scored 59 points against Missouri State.
4:47 p.m.- SDSU 48, Drake 7 3Q: SDSU making history with five touchdown passes in a game since 2018.
In just five of eight plays SDSU gained 55 yards to put them just one yard behind goal line and a one yard pass from Mark G. to Jason Janke extending the lead.
4:40 p.m.- SDSU 42, Drake 7 3Q: Drake just able to move a yard in three plays
4:34 p.m.- SDSU 42, Drake 7 3Q: No stopping Mark Gronowski and his offense.
At the start of the second half, SDSU will receive and Drake will defend the south goal. SDSU sets themselves up with a kick return from Amar Johnson of 51 yards to the Drake’s 45 yard line. And in four plays, ending up at the five Mark Gronowski takes it to the house! Boosting the Jacks lead. Gronowski now tying his career high at five touchdowns for a single game.
4:06 p.m.- SDSU 35, Drake 7 Halftime: Late turnover gets Drake the ball
After a third down conversion, SDSU at their 50 yard line and Mark Gronowski gets intercepted by Tyler Radocha. Drake’s possession and they’ll kneel with 6 seconds left on the game clock to end the half.
3:56 p.m.- SDSU 35, Drake 7 2Q: Just two minutes left in the first half Jacks making it look easy!
In just three plays from the SDSU 31 yard line, and two deep passes to Jason Janke for a combined 55 yards, and a 6 yard rush from Isaiah Davis places the the Jacks right where they want to be. Mark Gronowski finds Griffin Wilde deep left just 18 yards behind the goal line to score, taking the 4 time lead over Drake.
3:45 p.m.- SDSU 28, Drake 7 2Q: SDSU takes it away bolstering their lead.
A big punt return from Tucker Large, he returned for 61 yards landing the Jackrabbit offense to the Drake 18 yard line. And six plays later, Jacks just a yard away, a direct snap to Amar Johnson and he’ll rush it in for the tuddy!
3:41 p.m.- SDSU 21, Drake 7 2Q: Bulldogs unable to move past SDSU defense.
Drake holding on to the ball a minute longer than the Jackrabbits per possession but can’t seem to move far averaging just 4 yards per play.
3:32 p.m.- SDSU 21, Drake 7 2Q: SDSU’s offense running away with third TD!
The Jacks up 21-7 in 3/4 drives. RPOs throws Drake’s defense for a whirlwind as SDSU’s pass-rush combines for 64 yards to the Bulldogs only 19 passing yards. Mark Gronowski connects with Zach Hines for 13 yards into the end zone.
3:26 p.m. – SDSU 14, Drake 7 2Q: Entering second quarter, Drake holds themselves back.
In just three plays, Drake is unable to convert to first down forced to punt at 4th & 5 at their 44 yard line.
3: 17 p.m. – SDSU 14, Drake 7 End of the first quarter.
Both teams led to punt in just three plays. Drake possession at the end of the first quarter two plays and on holding penalty keeps behind the 50 and at their 33.
3:07 p.m. – SDSU 14, Drake 7 1Q: Jacks up with Kevin Brenner first career TD!
Seven plays bring the Jackrabbits up. Third down and at the Drake 40 Mark Gronowski completes a 16 yard pass to Jaxon Janke. Warming up to the end zone, and another third conversion begins SDSU just three yards shy of the goal line. Mark Gronowski lands a short pass up the middle for three finding Kevin Brenner for his first career touchdown.
2:47p.m. – Drake 7, SDSU 7 1Q: SDSU defense putting up stops.
Drake struggling to get past the 50 yard line after a little advancement gets them to the their 45 yard line the Jackrabbit defense keeps them their until fourth down!

2:47p.m. – Drake 7, SDSU 7 1Q: In just three plays SDSU responds tying the game at 7.
Isaiah Davis rushes to the right gaining of 28 yards just three yards shy of the red zone. Mark Gronowski throws a short pass to Davis caught at Drake’s 22 yard line and runs it down field for the TD!
2:37 p.m. – Drake 7, SDSU 0 1Q: Drake’s first drive resulting in a touchdown in four plays early in the game.
Drake starting strong as Luke Bailey throws a deep pass up the middle for 53 yards to Colin Howard. A couple plays later, Bailey launches one deep right connecting with Howard in the end zone for his first touchdown of the game.
