Legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus will take part of Friday’s opening ceremonies at the Sanford International.

Nicklaus, an 18-time major champion winner, will help start the tournament at 10 a.m., officials announced on Wednesday.

The opening round of the three-day, stroke-play tournament starts at 10:30 a.m. on Friday and continues on Saturday and Sunday at the Minnehaha Country Club.

Known as The Golden Bear, Nicklaus, will also play on Saturday as part of the EMC Legends Series — a nine-hole exhibition.

Tickets are $15 a day for the Pro-Am, which continues on Thursday. Tournament play starts Friday and those tickets are $25 if you buy them ahead of time. Gates open at 7 a.m. on Thursday, 9 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, and at 8 a.m. on Sunday.
