Mike Miller To Become Assistant Coach At Memphis

Mitchell-native Mike Miller is headed to the University of Memphis to be an assistant coach.

The Miller family confirmed the news on Thursday after Gary Parrish with CBS Sports reported that the former NBA rookie of the year and the Tigers had reached a deal.

Miller played for several seasons with the Memphis Grizzlies during two stints in his 17 seasons in the NBA. He joins head coach Penny Hardaway, who was hired last month to replace former head coach Tubby Smith.
