Incoming Freshman Earns Invite To Chris Paul Basketball Camp

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Incoming Lincoln freshman Kendis Ledbetter is preparing for a unique opportunity on the basketball court.

Many of us are familiar with Chris Paul's dazzling dimes on the hardwood as the point guard for the Houston Rockets, but this weekend athletes from the class of 2022 will try to learn his skills at the 6th Annual CP3 Rising Stars National Camp.

One of them is soon-to-be Lincoln freshman Kendis Ledbetter.

"My dad got an email and said I was invited to the camp and I was just very blessed to get the opportunity to go," Kendis said.

"I had to read it twice to make sure what I was reading," Kendis' father, James Ledbetter said.

Ledbetter is one of 200 athletes to earn an invitation to the elite camp in North Carolina.

"It will expand my game a lot to play against the top freshmen in the country and showcase what my game is," Kendis said

His dad is also looking forward to watching his son compete with some of the best from across the nation.

"I hope he goes there with the true intention to want to dominate and showcase his ability," James said.

When he returns, Ledbetter hopes to use his experience to incorporate some new skills on the court for Lincoln High School, because ultimately he has one goal in mind for the Patriots.

"Winning a state title for Lincoln," Kendis said.
