The Guebert twins are wrapping up their stellar college basketball careers in KELOLAND.
Madison and Drew Guebert each hold records at South Dakota State and the University of Sioux Falls respectively. Their mom Melissa is the all-time leading women’s scorer at Augustana. While Drew’s team fell to Northern State on Sunday, Madison’s Jackrabbits are getting ready for the Summit League tournament this weekend. She says no matter where she is, she always found time to pull up Drew’s games when he was on the court.
“Just so important. I feel like it’s just in our blood. Obviously with my parents playing at Augie, my grandpa playing at Augie, my little sister going to USD and obviously my twin sister at SDSU,” Drew said.
“All of his games are online for me. I’m always on the bus or at home with my laptop or plugged into the TV. I’m always watching him,” Guebert said.
The SDSU women take on Purdue Fort Wayne in the Summit League quarterfinals this Saturday at noon at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center.
