Events with the Sanford International get underway one week from Monday.
The course at Minnehaha Country Club is really starting to take shape, especially the 18th hole.
Course Superintendent David Swift says he can’t wait for fans to show up and fill the stands.
“I see a lot of hospitality and a lot of people having a good time watching some of the best golfers to ever play the game. They might not be as good as they were 20 years ago but it should be pretty neat. Jack will be here, Vijay, a lot of those old legends,” Swift said.
Practice rounds for the PGA Champions Tour event tee off on Monday. The first round of the Sanford International is set for Friday, Sept. 21.
KELOLAND News is getting you ready for the event. Be sure to check out our special broadcast next Monday at 6:30 p.m. and see the special website page for tournament information and coverage.
