On the Go

Good morning! This is KELOLAND On The Go, where you can find what you need to know in news and weather as you start your day.

Tuesday’s top story is in sports with the South Dakota State University women’s basketball team. On Monday, the Jackrabbits made history by advancing to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament with a 75-64 victory.

KELOLAND Sports Director Travis Fossing was at the game in Syracuse, New York and will continue to follow the team as they prepare to play Oregon on Friday.

Spring flooding continues to be a major story in KELOLAND. The people of Renner, South Dakota are no strangers when it comes to flooding. KELOLAND’s Max Hofer has the story from what people are dealing with there.

Flooding is an issue in western South Dakota too as the Pine Ridge Reservation deals with the devastation. Tribal and state leaders have set up a website where people can donate or sign up to volunteer.

And Tuesday’s forecast will bring more snow-melting temperatures. Highs will be in the 40s, 50s and 60s across the state and Wednesday will be even warmer.

Make sure to stay with KELOLAND News and for the latest news, weather and sports.
