A nationwide program to honor those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for their country, came to the new state veterans cemetery in Sioux Falls Saturday. People bundled up and gathered together to pay their respects to veterans of South Dakota. A 21 gun salute took place and every veteran’s gravestone received a custom wreath.
Firefighters in the Black Hills have been battling a fire at a popular tourist destination in Custer State Park. Fire broke out at the Sylvan Lake Lodge Saturday night. Crews from several departments remained at the scene throughout the night.
The Outdoor Campus in Sioux Falls has installed a new camera that shoots video of animals that wander in front of the lens. It joins a still camera that’s been snapping photos of wildlife at the park for several years.
