Crews are making progress on the historic State Theatre in downtown Sioux Falls.
The organ chamber is now restored.
You can check it out for yourself during next month’s First Friday on October 5 between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m.
“With our success in fundraising this past year, we’ve been able to do some of the beauty work in the auditorium,” State Theatre Company Development Coordinator Allison Weiland said.
The downtown group has been working to fix up and reopen the theatre for years.
The nonprofit State Theatre Company says it still needs $5.5 million to complete the work.
