SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The first Sioux Falls railyard redevelopment project has hit a road bump.
The developers behind the six story building say when crews were looking at the site, they came across bedrock that would make underground parking very difficult.
David R. and Erika Billion plan to buy the 4.05 acres south of 8th Street from the city through Black Iron Railyard, LLC.
David says they're forming a new plan, which will not include underground parking and will have a different street structure.
They hope to have it in front of the city council around the end of the year, instead of on October 15, which was the plan.
The City of Sioux Falls has been working to redevelop the railyard area in downtown Sioux Falls for almost two decades.
Here is a look at the original plan for the Black Iron project.
