Popular South Dakota Boutique Adding Store, Warehouse

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - One of the most popular online boutiques in South Dakota is expanding.

Filly Flair is moving to a new warehouse that's more than double the size of its current space.

When you're scrolling through social media and find a cute outfit, do you know where it came from? For hundreds of shoppers every day around the world, the answer is Filly Flair near Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

"I started with an online presence right away," Owner Laura Benson said.

Benson started the online boutique out of her basement in 2010.

She opened a store in Sioux Falls three years ago. Now she's expanding once again.

This time it's a new warehouse just off Interstate 29 near the Renner exit. In addition to more space for clothes, it will also have a store.

"We cannot continue to grow at the pace we would like without the expansion to have more room for inventory and shipping," Benson said.

The building also has a room dedicated to photo and video shoots for the boutique's website.

"A photo shoot room is extremely important, especially in South Dakota when half the year it's freezing outside. We need a place to take our photos and do all of our creative materials," Benson said.

Something else that's unique about this new location is it's right next to a corn field.

The owner hopes to hold events out here, which could attract more customers to the business.

"I want to be able to bring people to the country and experience that and have events. I also own a couple more acres, so if we ever need to expand, we have all of that," Benson said.

A growing business in the country that has customers all around the world.

Benson doesn't have an exact date yet when Filly Flair will move into the new location, but she expects it to be within the next few months.
