SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Since Chad Greenway retired from the Minnesota Vikings, he's taken part in several business ventures.
That includes owning a vodka line.
Greenway is one of the owners of Gray Duck Vodka, which launched in August.
The 80 proof alcohol is made from corn from Minnesota.
In the launch video Greenway said, "I want to create a premium spirit that's 100 percent locally sourced and made with real Minnesota corn."
Co-owner Jamie Quesnel says that, along with Greenway's involvement and the catchy name, have led to a lot of success.
"Gray Duck Vodka" is named after one of the most popular touchdown celebrations in Minnesota Vikings history.
Greenway and his vodka will be in Sioux Falls for several launch parties on October 25.
He will be at Empire Hy-Vee from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., Booze Boys West from 5:15 to 7:15 p.m. and JJ's Wine, Spirits & Cigars from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
"We've had a lot of South Dakotans asking us to enter the market. We plan to also have other launch parties in the area that week," Quesnel said.
