It’s a big milestone in an almost two decade long project.
On Monday the City of Sioux Falls plans to announce the first development agreement in the rail yard redevelopment project.
A news conference is scheduled for 10 a.m.
The 10 acres of land sit between 6th street and the 10th Street viaduct and have been home to railroad tracks.
City and state officials have been talking about this, planning and finding federal money for around 15 years.
Crews began removing railroad tracks late last year.
