There was another large marijuana bust on Interstate 80; this time in Wyoming.
One day after the Nebraska Highway Patrol found 101 pounds of pot, the Wyoming Highway Patrol announced a traffic stop resulted in the seizure of 1,849 pounds of marijuana.
The traffic stop happened Tuesday morning outside of Cheyenne, Wyoming. A trooper pulled over a pickup pulling a flat-bed trailer to conduct a commercial vehicle inspection. During the inspection, another trooper ran his drug detection K-9 and the dog alerted to the odor of narcotics on the trailer.
The Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation is working with highway patrol to investigate the case.
The estimated street value of the seized marijuana is $7.3 million.
