An Iowa fugitive was caught in Sioux Falls on Tuesday morning.
Agents with the Twin Cities Apprehension Team caught Joshua Weisser after a short foot chase near West 21st St.
Weisser was wanted in Dickinson County, Iowa, for leading Iowa law enforcement on a high-speed chase with a sport bike in May. Speeds of the chase reached 100 miles per hour.
On November 21, the Twin Cities Apprehension Team, out of Minneapolis, Minnesota, took on the case of finding Weisser. On Monday, agents began their investigation in Sioux Falls and at 8 a.m. Tuesday, they spotted Weisser, but he left in a vehicle. When he returned, agents tried to reach him, but he fled on foot. He was caught hiding in a basement four blocks away. There were no injuries.
Weisser has been transferred to the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office where he is facing charges.
