Volunteers Needed to Clean Up Flooded Parks in Sioux Falls

News

The Helpline Center is putting out a call for volunteers to help clean up parks in Sioux Falls hit hard by the recent flooding.

The organization needs volunteers on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. The Helpline Center is asking for groups of 12 to sign up.

Several parks along the Big Sioux River have been closed since the middle of March due to the river overflowing its banks. The city also closed the bike trail system. Crews have since reopened about 11 miles of the bike trail.

If you would like to help with the clean-up efforts at parks in Sioux Falls, head to the Helpline Center’s sign up page.
