Vietnam veterans recognition ceremony to be held in May

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — The Iowa Department of Veterans Affairs will host the 11th Annual Vietnam Veterans Recognition Day next month.
    
The ceremony will be held the morning of May 7 at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall at the Iowa State Capitol in Des Moines. Dan Gannon, chairman of the Iowa Commission of Veterans Affairs, will officiate.
    
Gov. Kim Reynolds and Lt. Gov. Adam Gregg will give remarks, followed by keynote speaker Kenneth Quinn, president of the World Food Prize Foundation and former career U.S. Foreign Service officer.
