Two suspects face charges in connection with a burglary at a sporting goods retailer in Rapid City on August 22.
During an investigation into the theft of more than 20 guns, Rapid City Police learned of people who were attempting to sell firearms believed to have been taken during the burglary of The Rooster.
28-year-old Zephaniah Thompson of Fairburn and 30-year-old Mathew Keifer of Rapid City were taken into custody after police surveillance.
During a search of the residence where Keifer was arrested, 22 of the 24 guns stolen from the sporting goods store were recovered. Police also determined that Keifer was the individual responsible for the original burglary to the business and that Thompson drove Keifer to and from the location of the burglary.
Two other men face charges in connection with the case.
