SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Two woodworking teachers in Sioux Falls will be on a mission to help others as soon as school gets out for the summer.
Christian Swenson and Nicholas Opdahl teach at Lincoln High School and the CTE Academy. At the end of May, the two will head to Haiti to help with a few building projects at a much-needed medical clinic in the town of Jeremie.
“I’ll be heading down to Haiti with the carpentry teacher from CTE. In partnership with Avera, they have teamed up with Friends For Health In Haiti,” Swenson said.
Swenson and Opdahl will be in Haiti for a week and they’ll be making cabinets.
