The first presidential debate is in the books, and who won is to be determined. We have a poll running on the KELOLAND News Facebook page where you can vote.
We are getting a better idea of what people in KELOLAND were thinking during the debate thanks to Google Trends.
According to Google’s anonymous search data, the top issues in South Dakota during the debate were: voter registration, police, ISIS, the economy and abortion.
In addition, Hillary Clinton got the most search traffic in the state, but obviously that isn’t an indicator on how the candidate is doing in the state. Donald Trump has been leading all the polls in South Dakota.
Voters across the U.S. were using Google to do some fact checking of their own.
Viewers also took to Google to ask questions about the moderator, Lester Holt.
