TCF Bank plans to lay off 145 people when it moves its contact and operations center out of Sioux Falls.
A notice sent to the state says the layoffs will happen between approximately November 9 of this year and March 31 of next year.
TCF says it will offer some employees jobs at other locations, but of course, they’ll have to move.
A small group of TCF Risk team members and the branch on Louise Avenue will remain open.
Here is a statement from the company:
“Last week, TCF Bank announced it plans to sell its operations center located at 4101 W. 38th St. in Sioux Falls and will relocate Retail Banking and Enterprise Operations roles to its Plymouth, Minnesota and Garfield, Illinois offices. All relocations will occur in phases through March 31, 2019. A small group of TCF’s Risk team members will remain in Sioux Falls.
TCF Bank is committed to minimizing the impact of these changes on its team members and customers. TCF Bank is offering relocation assistance to all team members who choose to relocate to other U.S. cities and retention and/or severance packages to team members who choose to remain in the Sioux Falls area. TCF Bank will continue to service customers at its branch located at 2508 Louise Ave. S. in Sioux Falls.”
