T-Mobile will be bringing retail stores to South Dakota in 2017.
The cellular company’s executive vice president of retail Tweeted they plan to open stores in the state this year. Currently there are no retail locations in the Rushmore state.
While T-Mobile doesn’t have an exact time frame, Jon Freier said they’re hoping the expansion will happen in the second half of the year.
He also said in a Tweet to KELOLAND News that Sioux Falls, Rapid City, Aberdeen and Watertown are ideal locations, but they haven’t solidified plans as they’re still in the planning stages.
Ferier said he used to do work in South Dakota with another cellular company.
“Love the people of South Dakota and can’t wait to bring you @TMobile stores,” he said in a Tweet.
Last November, T-Mobile’s CEO met with Sen. John Thune (R-SD) about expanding coverage in South Dakota as well.
“We look forward to expanding coverage and retail across SD and enhancing service for all in this great state,” John Legere said in a Tweet.
