Depending on which section of the Sioux Falls bike trail you visit, you could find it as you might expect it, or underwater, or with ice on it.
At Tomar Park, the community can drop off sandbags if they wish, but of course, the floodwaters haven’t left the city. In some places, water is still over the bike trail system.
At Tomar Park, the bike trail is closed. There are massive ice chunks over at least one part of the trail here. But some sections of the bike trail are open elsewhere.

Though a large portion of the bike trail around Sioux Falls is once again open, it will still be a while before the areas return to normal.
KELOLAND’s Dan Santella went out to the Tomar Park area Tuesday afternoon to survey the damage. He found a sign that had been bent; there were also still large ice chunks on the trail.
The trail system is open from 49th Street to the north around to the Farmer’s Market area in the northern part of Falls Park.
