Starting Today You Can Legally Set Off Fireworks In Harrisburg

Starting Friday at 9 a.m. in Harrisburg, you could legally set off fireworks.

You can until 11:00 p.m., and you’re able to until July 5.

That’s different compared to other parts of the state where you can legally shoot them off until the July 8.

Just a few miles north in Sioux Falls, it’s illegal to set off fireworks in city limits. If you’re caught setting off fireworks in Sioux Falls, that could mean a citation. That means a $95 fine. Sparklers, though, are legal.
