South Dakota Native Shares “Whistleblower” Story With CBS News

A former college dean and Baltic native lost her job after expressing concerns that her school was ripping off both students and the government.

Heidi Weber believed the Minnesota- based “Globe University” misled students to spend more time to get their degrees.

This led to tens of thousands of dollars of crippling debt for some students.  Weber also says the school targeted applicants with access to federal money.

Her story is shared in Friday night’s episode of the CBS News series “Whistleblower.”

Before going to Globe, she spent 15 years as a medical assistant in Sioux Falls.

Globe University had a location in Sioux Falls. It closed in 2016

“Whistleblower” airs at 8 p.m. CDT on KELOLAND TV.
