On Wednesday, Ellsworth Air Force Base announced it had been selected to house a training squadron for the B-21 Raider.
U.S. Senator Mike Rounds said the big announcement will mean huge economic growth for South Dakota.
“It’ll mean several hundred more families moving into the Rapid City area,” Rounds said. “It’ll mean more children in the school system out there. It’ll mean contractors coming in to build the hangers, the new hangers. The new facilities, more security that will be involved because we’ll have thermonuclear weapons.”
Rounds also says this is an opportunity for South Dakota to be a major player in our national defense.
