SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) — The Falls Park Farmers Market opens for the season Saturday. The farmers market is located across the street from the Stockyard Ag Experience Barn. The market is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday through October.

The St. Francis House will break ground today on its new 120-bed transitional housing facility.  The groundbreaking will take place at 9:30 a.m. at 1301 East Austin. The St. Francis House is taking donations for the project through its Homelessness to Hope campaign. The ceremony comes ten years to the day when the St. Francis House broke ground on its multi-family housing project.

Dozens of new sculptures are debuting today as part of SculptureWalk 2019. 59 sculptures are being installed in downtown Sioux Falls for people to enjoy throughout the spring and summer.

Downtown Sioux Falls is hosting the East Bank Block Party at the 8th & Railroad Center. Enjoy live music, food vendors, beer, wine and shopping from 6-9 p.m.

Sioux Falls Parks & Rec is hosting Paws in Park at Family Park. This free, dog-centered festival goes from 1-3 p.m.

St. Michael Catholic Church is hosting a “Tour of Tables” Spring Luncheon. Serving time is from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The cost is $8 for adults, $5 for youth, free for children 4 and under.

Just Between Friends is hosting a Children’s Consignment Sale in the Expo Building at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds. A percentage of sales goes to the Holy Innocents Diaper Ministry. Saturday’s hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday hours are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  

The Sioux Valley Model Train Club is hosting a free Open House this weekend at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds. The open house runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and includes the largest model train layout in South Dakota. The open house is on the north end of the fairgrounds, across from the old armory.

Enjoy story time and an animal encounter during the Bookworms Reading Program at the Great Plains Zoo in Sioux Falls. The program starts at 1 p.m. in the KELOLAND Education Center. The cost is a zoo admission.
  
The White Wall Sessions presents a concert by Minority Falls at the Last Stop CD Shop studio on East 10th Street in Sioux Falls. The performance is at 2 p.m. Tickets are $5. Be sure to watch an episode of the White Wall Sessions on KELOLAND TV at 10:30 p.m.
