KELO Boredom Busters

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — (KELO) Students with the Canton High School Theater Department present Chicago: High School Edition.  The performance is at 7 p.m. in the Canton Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $4, $2 for students.  Sunday’s matinee is at 2 p.m.

The top bull riders in the world are competing in PBR: Unleash the Beast at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center.  The competition begins at 7:45 p.m.  Purchase tickets at the KELOLAND Box Office.

It’s Pioneer Day at the Siouxland Libraries’ Prairie West Branch.  Family Storytime featuring pioneer tales goes from 10:30 to 11 a.m.  There will be pioneer activities for all ages from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.  The Sodbuster Trio performs from noon to 1 p.m.  Admission is free.  The Prairie West Branch is located at 7630 W. 26th Street in Sioux Falls.

Enjoy story time and an animal encounter during the Bookworms Reading Program at the Great Plains Zoo in Sioux Falls.  The program starts  at 1 p.m. in the KELOLAND Education Center.  The cost is a zoo admission.

Augustana University presents the annual Spring Concert of Angelus and the University Chorale at the Chapel of Reconciliation on the Augie campus.  The performance is at 7:30 p.m.  Tickets are $10, free for students.  

The Black Hills Quilters Guild is hosting a Creative Quilt, Art & Craft Market at the Best Western Ramkota Hotel in Rapid City.  Finished quilts and art and craft projects are on display from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Supplies are also for sale to make your own.  Admission is $2.  The Ramkota is located at 2111 N. Lacrosse Street, east of the Rushmore Mall.

All-Star dancers from Dynamic Cheer & Dance are hosting a Spring Pop-Up & Bake Sale at Brandon Lutheran Church.  More than 35 vendors will be selling items from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Proceeds will help with travel expenses as the team members head to Florida for The Dance Worlds competition this month.

Benson’s Flea Market features dozens of vendors selling antiques and collectibles in the Expo Building at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds.  Today’s hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Sunday’s hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Admission is $2.

The Sioux Valley Model Train Club is hosting a free Open House this weekend at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds.  The open house runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and includes the largest model train layout in South Dakota.  The open house is on the north end of the fairgrounds, across from the old armory.
