The primary restaurant at the Sanford Sports Complex is getting a makeover and a new name.

Will’s Training Table will officially become Blue Rock Bar and Grill on March 1.

The change coincides with a major expansion, menu enhancements and the hiring of an executive chef.

Chef Bradley Herr was recently the executive chef at Minerva’s in Sioux Falls.

Blue Rock will have four tailored spaces with different atmospheres. That includes a rooftop patio and a lower patio courtyard.

Construction on the 12,000 square foot building is expected to be done by mid-February with the official reopening on March 1.

A 15-ton, seven-foot rock from Cambria will be featured in the landscape for the bar and grill and will be displayed between the restaurant and the Sanford Pentagon.

The restaurant is hiring a variety of positions. Those interested are encouraged to apply in person at the business.

This is the building’s third name since it was built in 2013. The location was originally home to a Beef O Brady’s.
