Rapper Chief Keef won’t have jail time in Minnehaha County

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Rapper Keith “Chief Keef” Cozart will not be serving time behind bars in Minnehaha County.

He was in court Friday morning. The case stems from a 2017 arrest at the Sioux Falls airport when security found marijuana, edibles and drug paraphernalia on him.

On Friday, Cozart pleaded “no contest” to drug possession. The judge gave him a suspended imposition which means he won’t have to serve any jail time.

KELOLAND’s Perry Groten was in the courtroom and spoke with the rapper’s attorney. Watch for that story Friday night on KELOLAND News and on KELOLAND.com.
