A far cry from a fairy tale stagecoach, pumpkin paddle-boats are making a splash in Germany.
On a German lake people took to hollowed-out giant pumpkins for the third annual pumpkin race.
Competitors have to paddle across a 114-foot course to hit the finish line.
The pumpkins are grown especially for the race and need to weigh a minimum of 550 pounds.
According to the race organizers, the heavier the participant, the heavier the pumpkin needs to be.
