Two months after the Emerald Ash Borer was discovered in northern Sioux Falls, people are continuing to work on slowing the spread.
Companies in Sioux Falls have been busy treating trees for the Emerald Ash Borer, including Jason Bofenkamp’s company, Arbor Care tree and lawn. They’ve been working on putting injections into Ash trees.
“We’re trying to introduce an insecticide into the trees vascular system in the same area where this Emerald Ash Borer is going to do the damage, which is just under the bark,” Bofenkamp said.
Coming up on Monday’s EYE on KELOLAND, we hear more from Bofenkamp and how this process works.
