It takes a lot of different departments and agencies to help fight a flood.
In the Sioux Falls area, several groups have come together over the past weeks.
The Helpline Center is one of them. The non-profit answered more than 1,200 flood related calls since March 13th.
“We kind of enter into a new phase which will kind of be the recovery phase and that can be a long period of time because those homeowners that were directly impacted, it’s going to take a long time for them them to get back up on their feet,” Helpline Center CEO Janet Kittams said.
